The rarely found "pro post" or catching up with the day job
I’ve found myself fully engaged with social media on and offline recently. Some recent events that have come about are the following and next week is going to be BANANAS!
I preparation for REBarCamp which is finally coming about this Tuesday, a few of us organizers were asked by Dustin Luther to do a podcast on the inaugural 4Realz “Deep Dive”. The topic: Is RE Bar Camp worth attending? I think the answer is a overwhelming yes considering the who’s who of attendance at this point. This should be an amazing event considering it has never been done for Real Estate before and the energy being put in to it has been outstanding.
Last Tuesday I spoke on a panel for Pow.Wow “A network of fabulous women”. The discusion was on Green + Sustainable and how it applies to business and marketing. I think I learned more than I had to share. The discussion was very informative and some great questions were raised.

I’ve recently been dubbed Bloodhound worthy after a bit of hesitation on my part. I find BloodhoundBlog to be probably the most important and informative platform of writing on Real Estate around, and wanted to let my head clear from this months activities before I got started contributing. Greg’s invite and Teri’s prodding prompted me to put it at the front of my attention, rather than further procrastinating. I’m happy to say that I’ve managed to bang out at least a couple posts thus far. *woof*
After Sundays open house (2 of them actually) I will be resting up for the big week. Monday night we do a little load in and set of for REBarCamp over at the Swedish American Hall… maybe some beers afterwards with a few out of town guests coming in. Tuesday we rock it! followed up by Beer for Bloggers, which has been scheduled convieniently downstairs at Cafe Du Nord.
Wednesday starts off Inman Connect with Bloggers Connect which should be real cool. That evening two parties to rally with one at the Trulia digs over in Portrero and then heading back downtown to wrap up the evenging with the folks from HGTV and FrontDoor.com. Back conferencing on Thursday, I’m looking forward to hearing Mr. Merlin Mann and then wrapping the whole event up on Friday afternoon.
If I can mange to retain 50% of what I learn and put it to work afterwards I should be in pretty good shape - profession wise ;) that is at least until September when we do Vegas for RE Blog World.
